Red Roddy Rasbora Axelrodi 3cm Overview: The Red Roddy Rasbora Axelrodi, known for its vibrant crimson hue, is a captivating addition to any aquarium. Origin: Originating from Southeast Asia, particularly found in slow-moving waters and forested streams, this species thrives in well-maintained, densely planted aquariums that mimic its natural habitat. Feeding: These rasboras are omnivores and enjoy a varied diet consisting of high-quality flake foods, pellets, and live or frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp. A balanced diet enhances their colors and promotes overall health. Tank Mates: Peaceful and non-aggressive, Red Roddy Rasboras thrive best in a community tank environment with similarly peaceful species. Ideal tank mates include other small, non-aggressive fish such as other Rasbora species, small Tetras, and peaceful dwarf shrimp. Aggression: Known for their gentle disposition, Red Roddy Rasboras are extremely peaceful and do well in groups of six or more. They exhibit minimal aggression, making them an excellent choice for community tanks. Experience Level: Suitable for aquarists of varying experience levels, these rasboras are relatively easy to care for. Their hardiness and adaptability make them a great choice for beginners and seasoned hobbyists alike. Water Parameters: Maintaining stable water conditions is crucial for their well-being. Aim for a pH range between 6.0 to 7.5, a water temperature of 72-79°F (22-26°C), and soft to moderately hard water with a dKH of 5-15.
